Chris Reed

Chris Reed is the Presiding Member of the SA Arid Lands Natural Resource Management Board and has been an active community member of NRM in the Arid Lands of South Australia for fifteen years. He is one of two NRM Board representatives on the NRM Research Alliance Board. Chris was educated at Prince Alfred College and upon leaving school returned to the two family pastoral properties to work and ultimately manage. It was during this time that he developed a passion for the environment and when time allowed became involved in landholder input to Soil Board and regional NRM activities. He was the inaugural Chair of the SA NRM Presiding Members Forum and represented that group on the Center for Natural Resource Management Board. He has been a key driver of the Rangelands NRM Collective, a national collective of rangeland regional boards that work directly with the Australian Government on NRM issues in central Australia.
