Kathryn Bellette

BSc. Grad.Dip.Ed. MSc(qual).

Kathryn has a background in environmental science, education, management and policy. She has been an advocate for the incorporation of scientific research outcomes to resource use planning and management throughout her career. She has also had an active interest in facilitating community involvement in decision making for natural resource use and management.

She has held various positions in State Government, including most recently Director of Strategic Planning at Planning SA, bringing a systems-based approach to connecting land use and other resource use planning. Also, she was the inaugural General Manager of the Onkaparinga Catchment Water Management Board, responsible for the first water allocation plan and the first comprehensive catchment water management plan approved under the Water Resources Act, precursor to the Natural Resources Management Act.

Also, Kathryn has been the member of various NRM related Boards, State and Local Government land use planning advisory committees and panels, and university course advisory committees.
